Please use good trading sense and technique, including tight two per cent stops, when trading commodities.  If you are going long, buy weakness - in an uptrend.  If you are selling and/or going short, sell strength - in a downtrend.  For more on this, please have a look at how the MACD indicator can helping you with your entry point by clicking here.

Don't just trade at random; otherwise, you may suffer unnecessary draw-down, and develop a bad case of heartburn.

It can take upwards of three months for the commercials to prove their positions, but they're never a week late; so haste makes waste.  Also, if there is a premium on the front month, also called backwardation, that means the underlying physical product is in demand by the commercials, and is a very bullish sign.  Never short a commodity where such a phenomenon exists.   

I don't have a crystal ball.  I just follow the BIG DOGS.  Seers who peer into crystal balls for a living eat a lot of broken glass.

The next best thing to a crystal ball ... If commodities targeted by the commercial traders were movies, they would get two thumbs up, and five stars.

These commodities are the only ones that make the cut, after I closely scrutinize proprietary COT charts and graphs.

Look for three consecutive lower lows for sell situations, and short a rally on the fifth day.

Look for three consecutive higher highs for buy situations, and buy a rally on the fifth day.
